MSc Student Position (stipend) in Hydrology, Western University, London

Applications are invited for an MSc graduate student position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western University, London. The successful applicant will develop frameworks for the probabilistic assessment of hydroclimatic extremes, including floods and droughts, at the regional and global scales. The project requires processing and analysis of large datasets as well as setting up and calibrating a semi-distributed hydrologic model. Financial support will be provided including a monthly stipend, full tuition and travel to scientific conferences. The qualified student should have a degree in engineering, hydrologic science or a related field with a background in hydrology and statistics. Knowledge and experience with ARC-GIS and computer programming (such as C++, R and Python) is an asset. The ideal start date is January of 2017.
